ISANS

On Nov 5th, we were fortunate to welcome Abinaya Rajendran into the rcs Estimating Department. Abinaya is an Engineer who has moved to Canada from India where she worked on cost estimation for biomass power plant construction projects. She joined us as part of a full-time engineering work placement program through Immigrant Services Association of NS (ISANS). The program is a great way for our industry to connect with internationally educated and enthusiastic engineers who have relocated to our province. It’s a win-win scenario as companies like ours host engineers who can help with workloads, offer their unique experience and advance projects while they gain valuable Canadian work experience, local references and experience towards their Canadian P.Eng license.

Abinaya has proven to be a terrific collaborator and has shown great initiative, participating in several successful tenders throughout her work term. She is ambitious, capable and confident in her work and a great fit for our organization. Having now completed her work term we are excited to announce that she has been offered a full-time position at our head office in Bedford, Nova Scotia.

I’d invite you check out the following article about the program for which The Star interviewed Abinaya:

“As my first work experience in Canada I was a bit apprehensive, but It has been a wonderful three months here at rcs. Now I am all the more thrilled to be a part of the dream team!” – Abinaya Rajendran
