Duncan Beattie

Senior Project Manager NS

Duncan is a registered Professional engineer with over 14 years of commercial and residential construction experience in Vancouver, BC. Originally from the Maritimes, he has come home to help the team manage the rapid growth the region has experienced in the past few years.

Duncan approaches all his projects with a “Team First” mentality, successfully collaborating with all project stakeholders to turn over jobs on time and within budget. His primary responsibilities will be supporting projects from pre-construction to final handover to ensure the project receives the proper attention through the job’s life cycle.

In addition to managing projects, Duncan brings new expertise in high-rise construction and looks forward to mentoring his colleagues and budding professional engineers to achieve their full potential.

When not working, you can find Duncan getting in his workout by trying to keep up with his active two young boys! When he can, he’ll be out on the golf course or enjoying time with friends and family.

Heidi Hubley

Project Manager - Major Projects

Heidi started her construction career 26 years ago as an Administrative Assistant for WHW Architects, working alongside her father and uncle.  Once she got a taste of the industry, she knew she wanted to learn more and decided to return to school completing the Architectural Engineering Technology program at NSCC.

Prior to joining rcs as a Project Manager, Heidi gained valuable experience over the years in the fields of Architecture, Civil Engineering and a Natural Gas Utility Company.  She has worked on a variety of residential, commercial and industrial projects and over that time has come to appreciate the complexity of the construction industry.

When not playing soccer, watching hockey or preparing a “To-Do List” for her husband, Heidi can be frequently seen at a Tim’s drive thru or shopping at Winners/Marshals with her mom and daughters.

Adam Maxner

Project Manager - Major Projects

Having been born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Adam focused on keeping his learning in the east coast of Canada. He attended Mount Allison University graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies, and completed the Energy Sustainability Engineering Technology diploma program offered by NSCC.

Before joining the rcs team in 2018, Adam spent six years in the consulting field with a primary focus of mechanical engineering and project management. During this time, Adam obtained his Certified Engineering Technologist professional designation and worked on a number of medium to large scale construction projects.

A greater understanding of renewable energy technologies, construction management, and building sciences, coupled with his education and experiences, allows Adam to bring his motivations to Nova Scotia’s construction and design sector, and influence educated building practices.

Outside of life at rcs, Adam is a proud father of three young boys so his spare time is limited. Invite him out, we’re sure he’ll jump at the opportunity!

Matt Greene

Project Manager - Major Projects

Matt grew up and attended high school in Dartmouth, NS. His first experience within the construction industry was as an apprentice electrician after graduating from the Electrical Construction program at NSCC in 2010.

After a short stint in the military working as an electrician, he went back to NSCC and completed the Construction Management Technology program, graduating in 2018. His first commercial management experience was working as a coordinator at the Nova Centre with the Major Projects team at rcs.

Matt has always had a passion for sports such as hockey and football and is often cheering on his childhood hockey team the Colorado Avalanche. He spends his pastime either at the gym during the winter months and biking (mountain biking) during the summer months.

Ian Gauthier

Project Manager

Ian has been with rcs for over five years working on projects of varying size and scope and in all stages of construction and planning, from estimating to completion on new and existing builds.

He looks forward to continuing learning and excelling at his position and is dedicated to the overall success and business needs of rcs and, most importantly, our clients.

Ian can be found on the golf course when the weather is nice, and in the winter months, building props, renovating dance spaces and dancing with the Elle Daddies for Elle Dance Academy in Timberlea.

Jacob Cosman

Project Manager

Jacob started with rcs back in 2020, as a student engineer. After graduating with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from Dalhousie University in April of 2021, Jacob continued his career with rcs and was hired on full-time. Although he has only been in the construction industry for a short period of time, he has had the opportunity to be involved in many different types of projects with several different clients including new builds, fit-ups, renovations and more.

When he isn’t working, Jacob likes to spend time with his friends, family and dog, Cooper. He is also a huge sports fan and grew up playing hockey, soccer, and basketball. He loves to cheer on his favorite teams, the Toronto Raptors and Maple Leaf’s. During the summer months, you will be sure to find Jacob spending lots of time on the golf course trying to improve his golf game. Come the wintertime, Jacob loves spending time on the hills, snowboarding.
