Darla brings her background in process improvement combined with her exceptional interpersonal skills to her work with the group of companies. With a passion for commercial real estate development, exciting and unique construction projects, and building relationships, she acts as a liaison between all departments, streamlines workflow, supports daily operations, and works to improve efficiency in each project. In her spare time, Darla likes to mingle with clients and spend time with her wonderful family!

Duncan Beattie

Senior Project Manager NS

Duncan is a registered Professional engineer with over 14 years of commercial and residential construction experience in Vancouver, BC. Originally from the Maritimes, he has come home to help the team manage the rapid growth the region has experienced in the past few years.

Duncan approaches all his projects with a “Team First” mentality, successfully collaborating with all project stakeholders to turn over jobs on time and within budget. His primary responsibilities will be supporting projects from pre-construction to final handover to ensure the project receives the proper attention through the job’s life cycle.

In addition to managing projects, Duncan brings new expertise in high-rise construction and looks forward to mentoring his colleagues and budding professional engineers to achieve their full potential.

When not working, you can find Duncan getting in his workout by trying to keep up with his active two young boys! When he can, he’ll be out on the golf course or enjoying time with friends and family.

Greg Winchester

Preconstruction & Proposal Manager

After starting in the construction industry in his early 20’s, Greg decided to pursue his passion in construction by completing the Civil Engineering Technology program at NBCC. Having worked for a Civil contractor for several years, Greg gained technical experience working with a consulting firm across the Maritimes. It wasn’t until getting into the preconstruction process as a general contractor when Greg realized this is where he wanted to be. Working with trades, consultants, and clients to get a project ready for construction was a great experience.

When outside the office, Greg enjoys spending time with friends and family or on his motorcycle finding new spots to explore.

Dorothy Swindall

Design Lead

Dorothy is a NCIDQ certified Interior Designer. She has been with the Group of companies since 2019. Having started at Mill-Right on the design team, and joining rcs as Design Lead in 2021.

With 20 years of professional experience in various sectors of construction industry, Dorothy is extremely knowledgeable in many different areas and wears multiple hats within the company. Abilities include: Interior Design services, Estimating, Shop Drawings, Programming & Project Managing.

Having worked for many years in Toronto in the early 2000’s for CORE architects. Dorothy formed a love for commercial, hospitality and retail design, which has only grown over the years.

Dorothy is an integral part of the business development team at rcs. Client relationships are tremendously important to Dorothy, and she strives to ensure our clients are extremely happy throughout all aspects of the project.

Mother of 2 young girls, Dorothy spends most of her free time with her family. When she’s not chauffeuring or cooking; she enjoys family game nights, playing games such as Mario Kart, Monopoly and UNO.

Doug Doucet

President | CEO

Doug Doucet is very much a “hands on” leader, handling overall corporate planning, development and management for rcs construction. His focus has always been on satisfying client needs with an emphasis on project delivery. He works hard to nurture existing client relationships and develop new contacts for future opportunities.

Counted among Doug’s greatest achievements is his dedication to the community and giving back; he sits on many boards and is an active committee member.

Doug’s hard-working nature; vision for the future; open door policy; and approachable nature make him an excellent CEO and an inspirational leader.

Doug loves chocolate chip cookies with vanilla ice cream and traveling the world!

Chris Baldwin

Chief Financial Officer

Now with 10 years of commercial construction experience, paired with 15 years in the public sector (DAL & IWK Health Centre) exposed to construction from a client’s perspective, Chris is involved in all aspects of the business; estimating to assisting with proposals to client relations and being ultimately responsible for finance and risk management.

Currently, he holds the position of Chief Financial Officer for rcs and a multitude of related businesses.

Chris is the Integrator of rcs’ Leadership Team; helping to keep the team on task and accountable for the priorities at hand in efforts of supporting staff and clients alike.

Chris is an integral part of rcs as a leader, a reliable colleague and trusted advisor. When not at the office, he can be found on the golf course or power walking around downtown Halifax with Sarah and their “purse dog”, as some co-workers refer to her, Pepper!
