BDC Interior Fit-Up is a complete redevelopment of the office space located at 215 Water Street in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. rcs construction delivered the project through a Construction Management approach, coordinating all phases from planning to final turnover.
The project supports the relocation of the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC), previously operating on the first floor of Atlantic Place, into a newly redesigned space that better reflects their operational needs and client-facing environment.
The fit-up includes new layout configurations, glass partitions, upgraded finishes, refreshed flooring, updated ceiling systems, and modern lighting throughout the office. The design combines warm wood tones, neutral colours, and bold accent elements to create a clean, inviting, and functional workspace.
The completed space features boardrooms, meeting rooms, open work areas, breakout spaces, phone rooms, and a kitchenette, all planned to improve workflow, comfort, and collaboration.
rcs construction provided full project coordination, contractor management, and quality control, ensuring the finished office meets BDC’s requirements and the design vision developed by Carvel & Helm.
This project aligns with best practices promoted by the Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC), supporting sustainability and energy-efficient construction across Canada.
