rcs construction completed the new KENT Building Supplies location in Summerside, Prince Edward Island – a modern retail and contractor-focused facility designed to support both everyday customers and professional trades. Located at 35 Roy Boates Avenue, the new store replaces the previous Summerside location with an expanded and more efficient layout tailored for retail operations, contractor services, and large-scale material handling.
This large-scale retail development included the construction of a new base building, storage facility, loading and warehouse areas, as well as a new access road to improve site circulation and customer accessibility. The completed facility spans approximately 58,000 sq.ft. and was designed to support a wide range of building supply, hardware, lumber, and home improvement services.
The project features a modern retail environment with expanded product displays, wide customer aisles, updated lighting systems, and dedicated contractor-focused areas including a Project Centre and drive-through lumberyard. Additional services at the location include a garden centre, warehouse operations, contractor sales support, order pickup, and delivery coordination.
Working alongside the client, consultants, and project partners, rcs construction delivered a high-quality commercial retail project that contributes to the continued growth and development of Summerside’s commercial sector.
