Margaret Norrie McCain Centre for Teaching, Learning and Research
Mount Saint Vincent University
The Margaret Norrie McCain Centre was the first brand new construction Mount Saint Vincent built in 42 years.
To connect to the EMF Library and the Rosaria Building, the McCain Centre needed to be strategically placed in order to connect the upper and lower parts of campus. Success relied on the rcs team working diligently with multiple departments at the university, connecting everyone’s needs with the overall vision for the site.
The McCain Centre is a 4-storey concrete, multipurpose education facility featuring lecture halls, student breakout study rooms, a two story atrium, courtyard and Honour Wall.
The rcs team demonstrated tremendous professionalism from the projects inception and worked diligently throughout the partnership, fostering relationships with internal departments, maintained open communication to ensure fiscal targets were sustained as well as ensuring the objectives of the project materialized.
