Oxford International Halifax Fit-Up is an educational space transformation project completed by rcs construction in downtown Halifax, Nova Scotia. The project involved the full interior fit-up of modern classrooms, administrative offices, and student lounge areas designed to support learning, collaboration, and comfort.
The rcs construction team delivered a bright and functional environment with durable finishes, new flooring, acoustic ceiling tiles, and glass partitions that allow natural light to flow throughout the space. Each classroom was built with flexibility in mind, supporting various teaching methods and group sizes.
The staff areas and kitchen provide a welcoming atmosphere for both instructors and students, while the lounge and breakout zones offer places for informal interaction. The project also included the installation of updated mechanical and electrical systems to improve efficiency and comfort.
Oxford International Halifax Fit-Up reflects rcs construction’s continued expertise in educational environments—delivering high-quality, modern, and inspiring spaces where students can thrive.
Landlord work included bringing the 4th floor to base building standards — upgrading lighting, HVAC distribution, flooring preparation, lobbies, and washrooms. The tenant fit-up introduced modern classrooms, language labs, and office areas tailored for productivity and comfort.
This project aligns with best practices promoted by the Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC), supporting sustainability and energy-efficient construction across Canada.
