One year ago, the new Ronald McDonald House in Halifax opened its doors to families across the Maritimes. Located directly across from the IWK Health Centre, the facility serves as a home for the Nova Scotia chapter of Ronald McDonald House Charities and allows families to stay close to their child during medical care.
With over 46,000 sq.ft. of space, the building was designed to support longer stays, combining private family rooms with shared kitchens, dining areas, and common
spaces where families can rest and spend time together.
Over the past year, the House has become part of daily life for many families who rely on it during difficult periods, offering a place that feels more like a home than a temporary stay.
For rcs construction, this project was about delivering a space that could be used immediately and continuously, supporting families from the moment it opened.
One year later, it is not just a completed project, but a place that continues to serve its purpose every day.
